NEWS: Here is a paragraph from the CB Post, in late April:
Coun. Lee McNeil has been gauging the reaction of constituents in her district since the court ruling came down last Tuesday. From those who've e-mailed and called McNeil, she believes residents in her area are split down the middle on whether the legal action should continue. "This is a big decision and the people should be making this big decision," she said.
In case you are not keeping score, weeks ago Lee voted against the plebicite. In her own words "the people should be making this big decision" I guess so long as the Tea Party doesn't want them to. Lee of a few weeks ago doesn't agree with the Lee of a few months ago. Which do you agree with?
I liked her better when she believed the people should make the decision. Too bad she backed her pals on council instead of the people she represents. Keep on reading folks, more updates sure to come.

Sorry it has been a while since I had the chance to update this. Walking around district 3 and talking to everyone I can and getting my information out there is taking a long time.
I spent the last several weeks also trying to get a debate with the candidates. I had a location set up I just needed confirmation. A lot of people, even Lee supporters, have told me that they that a debate would be a great why to get the issues on the table and show the differences in the candidates.
Lee has refused to even reply to my requests.
People keep asking me "What makes you different than the other candidates?": Well here are the ways:
1) I believe the Travel bonus of 140 dollars a week is against the act, the will of the people and I promise to bring up a motion to remove or change back to the original system each meeting until it is done. Also, until I do so I will donate all of this pork barrel money. I am the only candidate to have constaintly campaigned on this.
2) I am the only candidate who was with the mayor on the boundray review issue demanding an independant review and stating that the current review was flawed from the start. The review has since been rejected as being flawed and will have to be re-done in 2 years. Do you trust this council to do it right THIS TIME?
3) I am 100% behind the lawsuit. The thousands of dollars we are spending on this sounds like a lot but remember, our future is the result. We stand to gain millions dollars that are rightfully ours. We shouldn't have to be suing the province to get that money but now that we have to, lets go all the way and rememebr that this is a fight for fairness. Why the council seems opposed to this I do not know. It is completely illogical to me. What fair is fair and that is all I ask for. We deserve more of the provincal pie. What's fair is fair.
I have been refered to in a lot of negative ways through this campaign. Lee seems to believe that I am a plant from the mayor to run against her. The fact is Ms. McNeil's failure to represent the people has caused me to run. Yes, I support the mayor on a lot of issues but that is because I believe he is right. The people should come first, not the councillors. This Tea party council does not appreicate your opinion. They (including Lee) voted down the plebicite and ignored your opinion.
While I respect the other candidates in the election none have constaintly been on the forefront of the issues like I have. I was the first person to speak at the boundary review committee and ever since I have saw the corruption that has gone on with this council I have been front and center defending the people but having it fall on deaf ears. We need a change isn't just my motto, it is my conclusion. Lee refused to speak to me regarding the boundary review and the majority of council ignored the wishes of the public. I have mounted a campaign to get accountibilty and openness because unfortunately this council does not want to hold themselves accountible.
I will be updating this page often but I want to leave you with three questions.
1) Do you believe your opinion should matter?
2) Do you believe that the councillors should put the people over the job?
3) Do you believe in the Mayor in what the mayor is trying to do?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, Lee McNeil does not represent you as she has voted time and time again against the people, she voted against the plebisite, and she opposed the Mayor at every turn. Think about that and remember those facts when you are in the ballot box on October 18th.
